Teal Night at Huntington Park

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Night

On August 7, 2011 the OCAO sponsored our 2nd annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Night at Huntington Park. The festivities included a survivor parade, ceremonial pitch thrown out by survivor Kelly Swearingen, and a presentation of a custom made bat made by Phoenix Bats. OCAO awareness items were available before and during the game. Fans were encouraged to wear teal to turn Huntington Park teal.

While there was a 2 1/2 hour rain delay due to an unexpected storm, it didn't dampen the mood. Everyone was still smiling and enjoying themselves. This annual event allows the OCAO to raise awareness and treat survivors and their families to a fun evening enjoying one of America's traditions.
